Qualification Choices: There are 2 qualification choices for you to choose from here to cater for all student requirements.  Accredited and VTCT.

Description:

Hot stones massage is a course that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide the relaxing and stress relieving treatment of massage using hot stones. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication. You will also develop a knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification, such as anatomy and physiology. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in providing stone therapy massage treatments to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to provide your own services for clients.

Pre-requisites (entry level):

A massage qualification

Course format:

1 day practical + home study + case studies.  Training material is emailed to you.

Course content:

Health, safety & hygiene, client care & communications, anatomy & physiology, hot stones massage.

Attendance:

1 practical session

Duration:

The home study can be started at anytime, please ask for available course dates.

Model Required?:

Group training = No, students will work on each other.

One to one training = Yes, you will be required to bring a model along to the practical

training to practice your routine on.

Case studies = Yes, you will be required to work on models for your case studies.

Case studies:

You are required to complete 3 treatments as case studies.

The Complementary Medical Association, Professional Beauty, Associated Beauty Therapists, IICT

Course Progression:

On completion of On completion of this qualification you may choose to undertake

further study; qualifications you could progress to include an accredited diploma or a

VTCT qualification in:

• Complementary Therapies

• Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies

• Reiki

• Swedish Massage

• Indian Head Massage

• Infant and Child Massage

• Flower Essences

• Colour Therapy

Career Opportunities:

Self-Employed massage therapist working from home, salon, Spa or Mobile.

full support throughout the course. An accredited certificate emailed to you on successful completion of the courseA printed certificate can be posted to you at an additional cost of £5.

Additional Costs:

You will need to purchase your own products and equipment in order to carry out

your case studies and practice your skills. We also recommend you purchase a text

book to  support your learning, a recommended reading list is available in the training pack
