Anatomy and Physiology accredited training course
This anatomy and physiology course is a knowledge based qualification which will provide the student with a sound foundation to pursue a career as a complementary or beauty therapist. This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the body, incl., the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails. You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive.
There are 2 qualification choices for you to choose from here to cater for all student requirements. Please see below for details of these options.
Option 1: Anatomy and Physiology Accredited Course
Pre-requisites (entry level):
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to enrolling on this course.
1 practical day + home study
12 modules each with a question paper –
Module 1 Cell & Tissues – Understanding the organisation of the body
Module 2 The Skin, hair and nails
Module 3 The Skeletal System
Module 4 The Muscular System
Module 5 The Nervous System
Module 6 The Endocrine System
Module 7 The Respiratory System
Module 8 The Cardiovascular System
Module 9 The Lymphatic System
Module 10 The Digestive System
Module 11 The Urinary System
Module 12 The Reproductive System
This can be started at anytime
1 practical day
The home study is Self-paced and can be started at anytime and covers approx. 40-60 hours of study.
No, there are no case studies required for this course.
Accreditation / Exam board:
The Complementary Medical Association
On completion of this qualification you may choose to undertake further study; qualifications you could progress to include an accredited diploma or a VTCT qualification in:
• Complementary Therapies
• Stone Therapy Massage
• Indian Head Massage
•Baby Massage Instructor
• Flower Essences
• Colour Therapy
• Crystal Therapy
This is a good foundation to go onto becoming a self-Employed complementary / beauty therapist working from home, own salon, mobile.

What’s included in the course fee:
Training manual (PDF format) and question paper (word format) per module emailed to you. A coursework tutor is assigned to you for full support throughout the course. An accredited certificate emailed to you on successful completion of the course. A printed certificate can be posted to you at an additional cost of £5.
