An NVQ (national vocational qualificaiton) or VRQ (vocationally related qualification) is nationally and internationally recognised. The examining body is called The VTCT (Vocational Training & Charitable Trust).

VTCT is a Government approved Awarding Body offering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) and other vocationally related qualifications (VRQs). VTCT has been in existence for over forty years and has been at the forefront of developing the vocational system of qualifications in the United Kingdom.

NVQ / VRQ
A work related / hands on qualification that focuses on employment skills for you.  They have been developed by the industry for the industry and is a collection of units which gives you the full skills required to work within the industry.
