Course Format
To keep things simple, all our courses are arranged around the same format & procedure:

* Select the course(s) you would like to study.

* Decide whether you would like to study towards an accredited diploma or NVQ / VRQ qualification.

* Complete and enrolment form (available to download on our website, or telephone/email us to request one.

* Pay for the course - 50% deposit required at time of booking, final 50% due no later than 14 days before the training date commences. We accept payments by cash, cheque, postal order, debit/credit card & paypal.

* Your training material will be emailed to you - this will include a training manual, question paper, directions to the training venue, as well as further info.

* Study the training manual at home.

* Complete the question paper and submit to us for marking via email or post.(ideally this should be done before attending the practical training, so we know you have an underpinning knowledge of the therapy)

* Carry out further reading on the subject using text books from our recommended reading lists as well as researching on the internet (this should be an ongoing process for you throughout the whole training process as well as after you have qualified - you can never have enough information, and it is always important to keep up to date with the latest in the industry :-) )

* Attend the practical training day(s). There are usually 1 or 2 practical training days (as well as interim and formal assessment days if you are studying towards an NVQ/VRQ).

If studying towards Accredited Diploma

* Carry out your Case studies and submit them for marking. The number of case studies varies per course, and you will be given a full case study pack and all the details with your training material.

* Once you have successfully completed the practical training, question paper and case studies you will then be qualified and will be sent your accredited diploma certificate and you will be able to obtain insurance and work professionally using your new skills.

If studying towards NVQ/VRQ Qualification

* Build a portfolio - This will contain evidence of your knowledge in the subject and you will have tasks to complete to demonstrate your knowledge.  You will be given an assessment booklet from the VTCT which you will use to build your portfolio.

* Carry out your case studies - The required number of case studies are outlined in you assessment booklet and you will need to cover a range of criteria in order to complete the required number of case studies.

* Attend an interim assessment session, so you can brush up on your practical skills and we can check your progress. We can also check the progress of your portfolio.

* Submit your portfolio (incl case studies) for marking.

* Attend a formal assessment which will include a written paper and a practical exam.

* On successful completion, you will be qualified and will be awarded an NVQ / VRQ qualification by the VTCT.  

Notes:  All training involves hands on learning and a model may also be required for you to train on. 

Once the training has been completed and is satisfactory you will then be issued with a Professional Diploma, which has been approved and accredited by: 

  The CMA, Professional Beauty, Associated Beauty Therapists & The Guild of Beauty & Holistic Therapists OR, an NVQ / VRQ Qualification awarded by the VTCT, dependant on what course option you selected.

You will then be qualified to carry out the treatments professionally and your certificate will enable you to obtain professional insurance.

Classes are small or taught on a one to one basis by a fully qualified & experienced tutor
