Holistic Therapies Training offers professional training and are dedicated to providing their students with the highest standards of education in beauty & holistic therapies.

Students are taught in small tutor groups or on a one to one basis using intensive teaching methods. All theory is provided in a comprehensive course manual which is emailed to the student to study at their own pace prior to attending the practical training. Case Studies are also required. You can become competent in a module after only one or two days’ training, and will be awarded a professional diploma on successful completion of your chosen course. The courses are approved and accredited by The Beauty Guild (www.beautyguild.com) and are all valid for professional insurance as well as awarded with points for continual professional development.

Qualifications

Practitioner Diploma (Accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists): 

On completion of the course you will be issued with a practitioner diploma which has been accredited by the Beauty Guild and that has been awarded CPD points.  During the course you will be required to undertake a test paper to prove your competence and understanding of the training manual as well as case studies.  You will also be required to carry out the treatments on other students or models which will be provided for you under observation as part of the practical assessment.

Training courses are not all we provide. We are here to guide and support you before, during and after your training to help you make a successful career in this exciting industry whether full time or part time, self employed or employed.  There are a number or workshops available to guide and ease you into self employment within this industry, including Marketing for Therapists & Bookkeeping for Therapists.

Course Requirements

All training requires ‘hands on’ involvement, which means you would be required to carry treatments out on other students/models, and in some cases, dependant on the course, you may be required to carry out treatments under supervision on real clients.  You may also be required to have the treatments carried out on yourself.

Pre-requisites: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is advisable on all beauty and holistic courses; however, it will be covered in the training manual.  Most courses will require further home study, case studies and practical assessment.

Reflexology:  A massage qualification or Anatomy & Physiology qualification.

Hot Stones Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage & Baby Massage Instructor:  A massage qualification is required to take this course.

Crystal Healing:  It is recommended that you are Reiki trained to attend this course or to have an understanding of energies and in the powerful healing abilities of crystals.

The Training

Most of the training can be carried out in one or two day sessions as well as the practical assessment. So the training can really be fitted around your busy schedule.  Training can be provided during daytime, evening or Saturday sessions.  From experience, we have found that the training broken down into two sessions works well, as you get the opportunity to go away after your first session and practice what you have learnt and then return for your second training session to ‘fine tune’ your skills.
